Giovanni Rinaldi is a physics graduate who has long been engaged in the study of the relationship between new technologies and medical practice. He has conducted a number of research projects in the field of telemedicine in cardiology and e Health. Currently his main research area is the mechanism of acquisition of clinical information for the purpose of better medical decision making and the modifying impacts of new technologies and e Health on the doctor–patient relationship. He analyzes how medical records, starting from the perspective of narrative medicine, can be integrated with genetic and environmental data and analyzed by complex algorithms.
