He is a twenty-year veteran of the US Army who then spent over twenty years in the electric energy industry, retiring as president of TXU Corporation. He is a passionate public servant who has served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of York College and as Chairman of Texas A&M Research Foundation for several years.
