Isla Dewar worked as a magazine journalist (it was all rock’n’roll and other delicious agonies) before writing her first novel, Keeping Up With Magda. Her books have been listed for various awards and translated into seventeen languages. One, Women Talking Dirty, was filmed. Isla lived for many years in Fife. She died in June 2021.
