JENNY HOCKEY trained as a social anthropologist and is Professor of Sociology at Sheffield University, UK. Her published work on gender includes articles in
Sociological Research Online; The Sociological Review; Gender Place and Culture; Gender, Work and Organisation. She is currently engaged in ESRC-funded research on masculinities in transition.

ANGELA MEAH is a Research Associate at Lancaster University Management School and the University of Manchester, UK. Her research interests include young people and sexual health education, and motherhood, social identity transitions and consumption.

DR VICTORIA ROBINSON is Senior Lecturer in sociology at the University of Sheffield, UK. She is the co-editor, with Diane Richardson of Introducing Gender and Women’s Studies and author of 
Masculinities, The Everyday and Rock Climbing.
