Alex Bailey is a fine artist and scientific illustrator with a bachelor’s degree in geology and a master’s degree in environmental geochemistry. She grew up in California and spent much of her childhood visiting the Sierra Nevada. She now lives in Reno, Nevada, and draws artistic inspiration from her scientific background, her curiosity about the natural world, and her adventures hiking, rock climbing, and backcountry skiing.
