Dr. Joanna Kic-Drgas promovierte 2012 am Institut für Angewandte Linguistik der Adam-Mickiewicz-Universität Poznań über Fremdsprachendidaktik im Seniorenalter. Dort arbeitet sie seit 2014 als wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin. Ihre Forschungsschwerpunkte sind Fremdsprachendidaktik und -methodik, interkulturelle Kommunikation, Fachsprachendidaktik und der Einsatz neuer Medien im Fremdsprachenunterricht.
