The field of pediatric nutrition has developed into an area essential to the components of academic pediatric programs throughout the world. Nutrition in Pediatrics, 5th edition provides a comprehensive and accessible approach to pediatric nutrition.
The 5th edition continues the expansion of the section on pediatric obesity: epidemiology, pathophysiology, assessment and treatment. It includes new chapters on celiac disease, food allergies, and iron.

Christopher Duggan, MD, MPH, the Editor in Chief of this text, is Professor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School and Director of the Center for Nutrition in the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition at Boston Children’s Hospital. He also holds the appointment of Professor in the Department of Nutrition at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in Boston, Massachusetts. John B. Watkins, MD, is Emeritus Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School’s Division of Gastroenterology and Nutrition at Boston Children’s Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts.
