Document from the year 2020 in the subject Social Work, grade: 1, 7, Protestant University of Applied Sciences Ludwigsburg, language: English, abstract: “Find your strengths, find your confidence” is a 3 session self-confidence training for teenagers aged 13 – 16. Teenage years are a time of rapid cognitive development. Teenagers might experience this time as confusing and react in different ways. This approach is supposed to have a therapeutic impact on the teenagers. That means it should have a healing effect and cause the teenagers to feel happier, more relaxed and healthier. In the following I will first describe why I chose a group setting and explain why it is necessary to have communication skills for these sessions. Second, I will give research based evidence for each session chronologically. Then I will explain how to improve the proposal and conclude with why I think it would have been accepted.
