“Why Do I Look Like the Milkman, Mam?” is a charming collection of the author’s Welsh-themed poems and rhymes. Kelvin started writing poetry whilst at secondary school, often getting into trouble because of his schoolboy humour. But he was oblivious to the regular cane and pain dealt out for bad behaviour back in the 1960s and he accepted his poetic justice as long as he could make the other boys laugh.
Schoolboy humour soon turned into an obsession for writing, which he has continued to do so every day since. He writes about his own moods and memories within his life, along with stories he picks up listening to chat and gossip all around him in the Welsh Valleys.
