Kıymet Tunca Çalıyurt (CPA, CFE) graduated from the Faculty of Business Administration at Marmara University, Istanbul, Turkey. Her Master’s and Ph.D. degrees are in Accounting and Finance Programme from the Social Graduate School, Marmara University. She has worked as an auditor at Horwath Auditing Company, a manager at Mcdonald’s, and finance staff at Singapore Airlines before positioning herself in academia. After vast experience in the private sector, she started to work at Trakya University as a lecturer in 1999. She has been a visiting researcher at Concordia University, Canada (2001), Amherst Business School, Massachussetts University, USA (2014), and UNWE, Sofia, in 2019. In 2009, she has founded the International Group on Governance, Fraud, Ethics and Social Responsibility (IGon GFE&SR) and International Women and Business Group (IWBG), which organizes a global, annual conference.
