Leih Michaels schrieb ihren ersten Roman, als sie 15 Jahre alt war und verbrannte ihn danach. Ebenso weitere 5 Manuskripte, ohne, dass diese jemals einem Verlag geschickt worden waren.
Ihr erstes Manuskript, das tatsächlich zu einem Verlag kam, Harlequin, wurde sofort veröffentlicht.
