Martin Teitel has a Ph.D. in philosophy from the Graduate School of the Union Institute. He has traveled around the world a dozen times in the past twenty years in pursuit of his environmental and human-rights work. Since 1981 he has headed the C.S. Fund. He also directs the Fund”s Minor Breeds Conservancy and the Center for Seven Generations, which conducts research and education concerning heirloom seeds and other environmental issues.
