Martine Mc Donagh has worked in the music industry for 25 years. Her first novel I have waited, and you have come was published in 2006. An extract appeared in The Brighton Book and a further short piece appeared in The Illustrated Brighton Moment. She is currently working on her novel The People Upstairs and in 2010 was awarded funding by the Arts Council of England for the completion of this work. Mc Donagh continues to work as General Manager for bands Fujiya & Miyagi and Oddfellow’s Casino. She currently lives on the train that runs between Brighton and Manchester.
