Filippo De Carlo, Ph.D., is an associate professor of Industrial Systems at the Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Florence in Italy. He has been involved in several international and national projects and has authored more than 70 publications in international journals and conferences. His research interests include industrial plants engineering, maintenance, industrial safety and risk, and energy management. Marcello Fera, Ph.D., is an associate professor of Industrial Systems at the University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli in Italy. He is a lecturer for undergraduate and post-graduate students at the University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli and has authored more than 65 international publications in operations management and industrial systems Engineering. He serves on the editorial board of the International Journal of Industrial Engineering Computations, Cogent Engineering, and the International Journal on Interactive Design and Manufacturing.
