Denver in the 1920s becomes the backdrop for this blend of Dashiell Hammett and H.P. Lovecraft. Private detective and witch Stanley Fields is dispatched to Denver to stop dark sorcerers. He discovers that the sorcerors have concealed themselves among the KKK, exploiting the hateful organization’s rise to power for their own purposes. They are trying to frame Otoniel Garcia for the murder of an heiress to foment racial hatred that can feed their evil summoning rituals.
Fields encounters Stefani Aegis, whose father was killed by his own tampering with occult forces. She learns to wield mystic energies, and they team up with pilot Mack Spar to try to save Otoniel and prevent the terrible cataclysm that has been set in motion.
