She is also Associate Director, Michigan Institute for Clinical and Health Research (MICHR); Director, Psych Oncology Program, University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center; Associate Director, University of Michigan Comprehensive Depression Center; Past President, American Psychiatric Association and Secretary for Scientific Publications, World Psychiatric Association Lawson Wulsin M.D. is Professor of Psychiatry and Family Medicine at the University of Cincinnati. His special area of interest is physical and mental health; he is the author of “Treating the Aching Heart: A Guide to Depression, Stress, and Heart Disease”. Melvyn Rubenfire M.D. is Professor of Internal Medicine and Director of Preventive Cardiology at the University of Michigan. In 2009 the University named a Professorship in his honor, the Melvyn Rubenfire Professorship in Preventive Cardiology, in recognition of his contribution to patient care, research and education in preventive cardiology.
