This book explains the immunology of organ-specific malignancies and discusses novel immunotherapy strategies for their treatment. Since the first, very successful edition of the book was published in 2015, a number of entirely new chapters have been included. The range of cancers considered has accordingly been extended, with coverage of the latest immunotherapy approaches for cancers in different organs. In addition, the original chapters have been updated to document the latest advances in immunotherapy for pediatric solid tumors, hematologic malignancies, gastrointestinal tumors, bone tumors, central nervous tumors, lung cancer, genitourinary tract tumors, and breast cancer, among others.

Nima Rezaei gained his medical degree from Tehran University of Medical Sciences in 2002 and subsequently obtained an MSc in Molecular and Genetic Medicine and a Ph D in Clinical Immunology and Human Genetics from the University of Sheffield, UK. He also undertook a short-term fellowship of Clinical Immunology and Bone Marrow Transplantation in the Newcastle General Hospital. Since 2010, Dr. Rezaei has worked at the Department of Immunology, School of Medicine, Tehran University of Medical Sciences. He is now the Vice Dean of International Affairs, School of Medicine, Tehran University of Medical Sciences; Director of the Global Academic Program, Tehran University of Medical Sciences; and co-founder and Deputy President of the Research Center for Immunodeficiencies. He is also the Founding President of Universal Scientific Education and Research Network (USERN). Dr. Rezaei has already been the director of more than 50 research projects and has designed and participated in several international collaborative projects. He is an editorial assistant or board member for more than 30 international journals. He has edited more than 10 books, has presented more than 400 lectures/posters in congresses/meetings, and has published more than 600 articles in international scientific journals.
