Olle Ekberg is Professor of Diagnostic Radiology in the Department of Translational Medicine, Lund University, Malmö, Sweden. He is also a Senior Consultant in the Department of Medical Imaging and Physiology, Skåne University Hospital, Malmö, Sweden. He has been involved in diagnosis of swallowing disorders since 1975. He has published more than 300 peer-reviewed scientific articles, mostly on swallowing but also in other areas of gastrointestinal radiology. In his work as a Senior Consultant, Dr. Ekberg collaborates with a multidisciplinary team including speech-and-language pathologists. He is a board member of the European Society of Swallowing Disorders and a counsellor in the US to the Dysphagia Research Society. He is Associated Editor of the journal Dysphagia and Editor-in-Chief of Eurorad.
