Dr Paromita Das is Assistant Professor in the Department of Mass Communication at Assam University, India, having received a PhD in Mass Communication from the same institution. She has worked as State Media Expert of National Rural Health Mission, Assam, under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of the Government of India. Having also worked as Assistant Director under the award-winning director, Shri Joshy Joseph, for the Kolkata Films Division, she has produced and directed several documentary films for Doordarshan.
