When it first appeared three decades ago, Raymond Seidelman’s provocative study of the history of political science both attracted a great deal of attention and generated vibrant controversy. Raymond Seidelman is Professor of Political Science at Sarah Lawrence College. He has written extensively on the Italian Communist Party and is presently researching economic planning in the United States.
