As an artist, designer and programmer/analyst, Richard Gonsalves has worked at Corel (of Corel Draw fame) and has done artwork and programming for major laser industry businesses throughout North America. From 2013 to present, Richard works with EDM artist/producer Zedd where he is an LSO (Laser Safety Officer) and does laser programming, set-up, operation, and consulting. Richard runs the largest independent Facebook group dedicated to Laser Display (the) Laserist. The group has been about the art and science of anything to do with Lasers, especially Laser shows – it has become a newsletter to the laser community, where we all share knowledge and inspiration from each other. Richard is the present Chair of the International Laser Display Association (ILDA) Awards Committee and also serves as the Chair of the Canadian Laser Entertainment Organization (CLEO), a group of Laserists within Canada representing importers, manufacturers and performances of live events in the entertainment laser display field.
