Giới thiệu về tác giả

Born in New Zealand in 1949, Stephen moved to Australia in 1985 in search of a fresh start after a series of personal life calamities. Not until ten further unhappy years elapsed and a ‘final straw’ disaster struck, did his awakening to truth unfold. But ultimately, it was through dealing with the fallout of a devastating personal relationship event, that lead him to the discovery of ‘The Happiness Secret’, the secret to enduring happiness. Using understandable language, he brings together the wisdom of the Gurus of spiritual awakening and the capacity that ordinary people possess to understand it by offering so much more than chicken soup comfort in his true and very personal account of life experience and Self-discovery. His book is an effective learning instrument and perhaps the catalyst you needed, to create your own better, happier life.

Stephen shows how seemingly insurmountable, emotionally challenging events can be hugely diminished, even instantly disintegrated, into nothing more than they really are; uncontrolled thoughts. His work displays a clear understanding about the most prevalent, detrimental human condition of all, the suffering of unhappiness, and it will open the door to happiness for millions, a door they never knew existed, nor possibly would ever have dared to open without such sincere, down to earth guidance.

After re-discovering his inner happiness, Stephen has also re-discovered his ideal living environment, in peaceful surroundings by the beach again. Together with his wife, June, Stephen enjoys life, traveling, writing, and sailing boats. As he says; “Ours’ is now a life of enduring happiness acquired through Self-awareness and by applying conscious intelligence, vigilance, to all of our life decisions. That’s what gives us a sharper view of the world from a calmer and happier perspective.”

“Living life ‘in the dark’, in an unconscious state ruled by the subconscious mind, is like having to shop for your favourite food in a foreign supermarket. Nothing offered on the shelves ever seems quite what you want, but, because you can’t read the labels, you never really know why. Conversely, like a home cooked meal, life’s all the tastier when you’ve imagined it, selected the ingredients, and baked it yourself. Then you know; Ah, yes, that’s how my meals should taste”

“Isn’t that how you want your life to be?”.
