Terry Gilliam (Medicine Lake, Minnesota, 1940) formó parte del grupo de cómicos Monty Python, en el que se distinguió por sus originales animaciones. Cuando los Python se disolvieron emprendió una carrera en solitario como realizador cinematográfico. Entre sus revolucionarias películas destacan “Brazil” (1985), “El rey pescador” (1991), “Doce monos” (1995) o “Los hermanos Grimm” (2006).
