"Betty Zane" is a 1903 historical novel by American author Zane Grey. The story revolves around Grey’s great-grandmother "Betty" Zane, who was a heroine of the Revolutionary War on the American frontier. The central event of the novel is the story of how Zane single-handedly resupplied a besieged Fort Henry with gun powder from her family home, resulting in a victorious defence on the American side. Unable to find a publisher for his book, Grey published "Betty Zane" himself. This fantastic story is highly recommended for those with an interest in historical fiction and the Revolutionary War.
