About the author
Vicente Blasco Ibanez (1867–1928) was a Spanish novelist, screenwriter, and occasional film director who was imprisoned dozens of times for political activity. He is best remembered in the English-speaking world for his World War I novel The Four Horseman of the Apocalypse, which was twice made into a movie in America.
