In this first book, Grace Polite is missing her home state of Georgia and her mother after Mama died of breast cancer and her family moved to the state of Michigan. It’s just her father, little brother, and sister, and her now. The move to Michigan was designed to give the family a fresh start, but the adjustment is difficult for all of them.
Grace misses everything about home, including the southern hospitality. However, when summer brings a new neighbor next door, Grace has an idea to use the manners her mother taught her to make their new house feel more like home.
About the author
David L. Anderson began displaying visionary talents at the early age of five, when he was a child growing up in the welfare system within the inner city of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Being very shy, he found it easier to communicate by drawing his expressions rather than verbalizing them. Since then, his art has captured the attention of art enthusiasts across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and four African countries. David calls his talent a gift from God and calls all his work ‘God-prepared.’ He has used artwork to address social concerns and make social commentaries. David’s business name is N2D Arts.
