Hues of red, purple, yellow and orange majestically brought beauty to my mind as I viewed at a distance the scene surrounding my home. This home would soon be gone from my life, maybe forever! My smooth brown skin felt the soothing coolness of the air. It seemed the leaves were whispering soft, melodious sounds to comfort me as I gazed ahead to the oak trees surrounding our family property in Halifax County.
