About the author
William Edward Simonds (1860–1947) was an authority on English literature and the author of several books on the subject, including Sir Thomas Wyatt and His Poems (1889), An Introduction to the Study of English Fiction (1908), A Student’s History of American Literature (1909), and George Fitch: A Memorial (1918).
