Mohd Hasnun Arif Hassan earned his first degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Technische Hochschule Bingen in Germany in 2010. He then pursued a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Malaya in Kuala Lumpur, graduating with distinction in 2012. After that, he embarked on his Ph D at the Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP), where he studied the head injuries sustained by soccer players due to heading. He completed his Ph D study in 2016, then continued to serve UMP as a senior lecturer. He is currently the director of the Innovative Manufacturing, Mechatronics and Sports Laboratory (i MAMS), which was founded by Professor Zahari Taha, who was his supervisor for his doctoral study. His research interests include finite element modelling of the interaction between human and sports equipment, instrumentation of sports equipment, and injury prevention particularly with regard to sport. His work aims to apply engineering principles in sports to not only enhance the performance of an athlete, but also to prevent injuries.   Zahari Taha is a professor at the Faculty of Manufacturing Engineering, Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) and the Founding Director of the Innovative Manufacturing, Mechatronics and Sports Laboratory (i MAMS), UMP. He received his Ph D from the University of Wales Institute of Science and Technology in 1987 (now known as University of Wales Cardiff). Professor Zahari teaches and conducts research in the areas of industrial automation, robotics, ergonomics, sustainable manufacturing and sports engineering. He is a fellow of the Academy of Sciences Malaysia and the deputy head of the Industry and Innovation cluster of the Malaysian National Council of Professors. He is a chartered engineer registered with the Engineering Council of UK as well as a member and regional coordinator of the Institution of Engineering Designers, United Kingdom. He was awarded a Hitachi fellowship by the Hitachi Scholarship Foundation in 1990 and the Young Scientist Award by the Ministry of Science Technology and Innovation in 1992. He was also awarded an honorary professorhip by Hebei University, China in 2012. He is a board member and fellow of the Asia Pacific Industrial Engineering and Management Society (APIEMS).   Iskandar Hasanuddin completed his Bachelor’s degree in Production and Machinery Engineering at the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Syiah Kuala University, Banda Aceh in 1997. He then obtained his Master’s degree focusing on Ergonomics from the Department of Design and Manufacture at University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 2007, before pursuing his Doctoral degree in Product Design at the same university, which he completed in 2013. His interests are in product design and manufacturing. He has participated in several solar car race events, including the World Solar Challenge Australia in 2007 and 2009, the Shell Eco Marathon for the Prototype Gasoline type in 2010, in Sepang, Malaysia, the National Energy Efficient Car Contest (KMHE) National level in the electric prototype category in 2015, Brawijaya, Malang, and also KMHE in Yogjakarta in 2016 in the prototype and urban electric category.  Mohd Jamil Mohamed Mokhtarudin was awarded the Malaysia King’s Scholarship 2013/14 to pursue a DPhil in Engineering Science at the University of Oxford. His thesis was on the mathematical modelling of brain tissue swelling after ischaemic stroke treatment. Currently, he is working on a research on the physiological modelling of pathological brain and heart using continuum solid mechanics and multiscale modelling, involving collaboration with researchers from Universiti Malaya and University of Oxford.
