Allan C. Stover’s first book (Dodd, Mead) received the National Science Teachers Association award as Outstanding Science Book. His next book (Mc Graw-Hill) was republished in Mandarin for Mainland China. His novels, The Evil Ones, was critically received. His book Underage and Under Fire (Mc Farland) fulfilled his dream of writing a book on his fellow underage veterans (those who manage to enlist under the legal age; he enlisted during the Korean War at age 14), all members of Veterans of Underage Military Service, Inc., a nonprofit association he founded and is a Past National Commander. Writer’s Digest has awarded him five fiction and nonfiction awards. His works have appeared in numerous magazines and journals. He is a member of Authors Guild.
Mr. Stover received his Master of Science degree from Vanderbilt University as Orrin Henry Ingram Scholar. He worked abroad as an electronic engineer for twenty years in Asia, Europe, South America, and the Middle East; survived a terrorist attack in Sri Lanka; and lived in the Philippines when President Marcos became dictator.
