Costel Coroban works at the “Ovidius” University of Constanţa, Romania, and collaborates with the Cambridge School of Constanţa. He holds a PhD in Medieval History from the Valahia University of Târgoviște, Romania, and is an editorial assistant of the Romanian Review of Baltic and Nordic Studies. He is the author of numerous articles and several books and has received the “A.D. Xenopol” Prize of the Romanian Academy in 2014 for scholarship in History. His research interests include medieval Scandinavia, autobiographies from the Great War and English for specific purposes.
