Ken Lacey, former Military Intelligence Officer and now Fine Art Expert is bored. A disastrous ending to a hush hush job in Venice some months earlier means he’s stuck with short term contracts finding stolen antiques. Although financially lucrative his talent is being wasted chasing paper and haunting second rate auction houses.
