George William Russell (1867–1935), also known by the pen name ‘Æ, ‘ was an Irish writer, poet, painter, and mystic. He was a key figure in the Irish literary revival and a close associate of W.B. In addition to his literary contributions, he was active in the cooperative movement, advocating for social and economic reforms in Ireland.
