Ghezal Omar is the 1st Afghan-American comic creator and writer in comicbook history. Her works have already garnered interest from WME and Oxygen Network. In 2010, Ghezal traveled to her homeland and co-wrote and co-produced ‘Bawar, ‘ a short Afghan film that was broadcast locally. Her passion for storytelling extends beyond the page and screen – she can often be found at comic book conventions promoting her work and inspiring others to create and share their own stories.
