Growing up I had never considered the path I would take, down a long, lonely, road of suffering , enveloped in a sea of drugs and alcohol thinking of suicide constantly, full of remorse and self pity, all I wanted was for the emotional pain to end. I had no idea I was suffering from alcoholism starting out as the life of the party, accomplished at everything I attempted, well liked by all. The end had finally arrived, the house was surrounded by police, I took my hand gun , placed it in my mouth and pulled the trigger. Sober (40) years now after a series of miracles that completely transformed me from hopeless and helpless to a man full of life, peace and happiness.
