Praise for The Alpacas of Stormwind Farm
If I were an alpaca, I would want to live on the authors farm. Ingrid Wood writes with respect and compassion about the animals that inhabit Stormwind Farm. It is refreshing to read an honest and insightful chronicle of daily farm life. A worthwhile read.

The Alpacas of Stormwind Farm is a delightful read, and I highly recommend it to folks who have a warm spot in their hearts for the trials and tribulationsand great rewardsof the small farm. I feel like I know each alpaca, personally. Its been my pleasure to visit Ingrid and her animals. Stormwind Farm offers a lovely landscape of efficiency and a sense of well-being for humans, alpacas, and other resident creatures.

Ingrid Wood was born and raised in Germany. Her life-long fascination with farming and breeding livestock traces back to wonderful childhood vacations
spent with relatives on their farms. One of her grandfathers was a bee keeper. An uncle tended the familys vineyards; a great-aunt kept dairy cows.
Others raised pigs, chickens, and small flocks of sheep. All were inspiring role models for a young girl with an interest in raising livestock and
living on a farm.

In 1970, Ingrid followed her American-born husband, David, to the United States of America. After raising their son, Benjamin, in the historical town
of Mount Holly, New Jersey, the Woods moved a few miles from their suburban home to a small farm they purchased in Springfield Township. The first
alpacas arrived on Stormwind Farm in 1997.

In addition to raising alpacas, Ingrids interests include writing, reading non-fiction books, gardening, spinning the fine fiber of her camelids, and
playing with her grandchildren. Considerable time is devoted to caring for the Stormwind Whippets. On weekends, Ingrid enjoys selling fleeces and
other alpacas products at agricultural fairs and festivals. She also sponsors numerous, annual educational events on Stormwind Farm (for more
information, visit www.Stormwind Alpacas.com).

Ingrids articles have been published in The LAMA LETTER, The GALA Newsletter, American Livestock Magazine, MAPACANewsletter, Alpacas Magazine, The International Camelid Quarterly and the German camelid publication LAMAS. Her first book, A Breeders Guide to Genetics Relax, its not Rocket Science, was published in 2004.
