Editor Biographies:Thomas Heinen studied Sport Science at the German Sport University Cologne (Germany) and received his Ph D from the German Sport University Cologne in 2006. He currently works as a Professor for Social Science of Sport at the University of Hildesheim. His primary research interests are related to the role of perception and cognition in the selection, control and acquisition of complex skills. Ivan Cuk studied at the Faculty of Sport at the University of Ljubljana (Slovenia) where he currently works as a professor and chair of the department of gymnastics. He works as an editor in charge of Science of Gymnastics Journal. His primary research is related to the theory of training in artistic gymnastics. Ruben Goebel studied Sport Science at the German Sport University Cologne (Germany) and received his Ph D from the German Sport University Cologne in 2006. He is currently the Director of the Sport Science Program at Qatar University, Doha, Qatar. His research interests focus on applied training science in various sports, performance diagnostics and talent detection and development in team and individual sports.Konstantinos (Kostas) Velentzas studied sport science and pedagogy at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and he earned his Ph.D. from the German Sport University Cologne (psychology and performance). He has numerous publications, which are mostly related to the psychological training and its effect on performance optimization. As practitioners’ member of the German youth volleyball national team he took part in several European and World Championships.
