Fisher traveled to upstate New York, through parts of Canada, then New England, in the late spring through early fall of 1773. In keeping with what was apparently a family tradition of keeping journals of their travels, Fisher recorded his observations and escapades in a day journal, leaving a chronicle of life at a very auspicious time in American history.
