Jean-Michel Rabaté, professor of English and Comparative Literature at the University of Pennsylvania (USA) since 1992, is a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and one of the editors of the Journal of Modern Literature. Co-founder and senior curator of the Slought Foundation in Philadelphia, he has authored or edited more than thirty-five volumes on modernism, psychoanalysis, contemporary art, and philosophy.
