Jack, Dick and Bentley are three best friends who once wooed the same lady. When she chose Jack and they had a daughter, the little Penelope got two of the greatest uncles in Bentley and Dick. But when the Pen grew up and was ready to meet men, her loving uncles and her father became a little bit of a burden. Lord Horatio Tawnish is a well-dressed and refined London gentleman with dandy-like gestures who caught the attention of beautiful Pen, but those effeminate manners of him were note approved by Jack and his friends. The three of them decide to put his ingenuity and courage to test and if he manages to overcome their schemes and obstacles they might accept him for a son in law.
