John Alexander has been an enthusiastic craft brewer since 1970 and has written, demonstrated and lectured on the subject. For many years he wrote a regular article for the Amateur Winemaker and Homebrewer as well as writing the books Brewing Lager, Dundee Pubs Past and Present, A Guide to Craft Brewing and Dundee Breweries. In 2008 he wrote an article on Shilling Ales for Brewer’s Contact, the publication of the Craft Brewing Association. He lives in Angus.
