Smart cities are one of the focus areas of many governments across the globe. Many countries have created strategies for transforming their cities into smart cities in order to fully utilise the potential opportunities arising from urbanisation. Smart cities enable operational efficiencies, maximise environmental sustainability efforts and create new citizen services.
