Lessons For Today is a collection of 15 Scripture-based vignettes that motivate, encourage and inspire. This book is the first of a series of ebooksthat address common everyday difficulties such as fear, lack of discipline and assertiveness, instability, the breaking of faulty habits, discovering inner peace and much more.
Life is full of complexities. However, in order that we achieve a more harmonious life, it is necessary that we make adjustments in our thinking, feeling and actions, and with God’s help, we can be triumphant.
At the end of each of the 15 vignettes there are helps, for example:Question Helps, Where to Turn… (for those who want to delve deeper into the Scriptures), Personal Reflections and Timeless Gems, which are quotes either from famous persons, the Scriptures or the myself.
I am in counselling ministry for more than 23 years and this book is written from a Christian Counsellor’s perspective.

Monica Hernandez graduated from Canada Christian College with an earned doctorate in Theology, and is also an ordained minister. As well, she holds a D-C.P.C. (Diplomate-Certified Psychotherapist and Counsellor) certificate in Christian Counselling and a Ph.D in Pastoral Counselling.
Dr. Hernandez also hosts the Bible-teaching radio broadcast The Revealing Word on JOY 1250 AM in Canada, heard every Sunday morning at 8:30 since 1998. These radio messages offer hope, spiritual insights and practical, biblical principles for our lives and can be heard on the Internet at www.joy1250.ca at 8:30 (Toronto time) on Sunday mornings.
