Nemthianngai Guite, a faculty in Department of Social Work, University of Delhi, earned her M.Phil. degree in Social Medicine from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. Her Ph. D. work is on Indigenous Medicinal Substances and International Trade Treaties from the same university. Her professional interests cater to health catre and development, intellectual property rights and indigenous medicine, community health and social work, health issues concerning children, women and the indigenous communities. She has published several research papers and articles in Journals of repute besides contributing towards social work related to HIV, AIDS and tribals through IGNOU as well as numerous professional bodies.
