Olena was born and raised in Indiana. She is a 20-year-old student currently attending college at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana where she studies as a Legal Studies major. Her hobbies include singing, photography, her college’s mock trial club, her college’s Ultimate Frisbee Club, and of course, poetry. Poetry has been a healing outlet for Olena since she began writing poems at age fourteen. Through her writing she has found a way to understand her own emotions and feel connected with the world around her.
