Sophia Boralis could not cope with the death of her mother. Dark and dangerous depression consumes her, and shadows come alive inside her mirrors. After an attempted suicide, Sophia meets Harper, an angel of a man who is also her psychiatrist in the mental health hospital where Sophia is sent.

Sophia meets Jeremy in the hospital, a boyishly handsome man who is just as broken as she is. However, he is suspicious of Harper and his intentions toward Sophia.

When Harper offers to teach Sophia and Jeremy about shadow work to help cope with their trauma, they are taken to Harper’s private mental institution, where Harper reveals his suspicions about Jeremy to Sophia.

Sophia does not know who to trust in Harper’s world, and she wonders if she will ever get out with her mind intact. Especially when she starts her shadow work lessons and realizes that her inner demons are more challenging to tame than most…
