Steve Augarde, geboren in Birmingham, verheiratet und Vater zweier Töchter, ist Illustrator, Papier-Ingenieur und Jazz-Musiker. Er hat zahlreiche Bilderbücher illustriert, Pop-up-Bücher konzipiert und die Roman-Trilogie rund um das “Elfenvolk” verfasst. Für zwei Trickfilm-Serien des BBC hat er sowohl die Illustrationen als auch die Musik beigesteuert.
