The flare of prayer is not an alternative to prayer; rather, it is an explanation or description of how our thoughts tend to grow and form new realities. The flare of prayer is an observation of how our thoughts, feelings and actions – for example our prayers – work to unite us with our desires.
The flare of prayer gives advice on how thoughts and feelings are used intentionally to create new situations, circumstances and realities. This allows you to focus more on your prayer activity or on the "thought process" as you modify your experience. Prayer is a thing or an action; the flare of prayer is simply a collection of observations.
Whether you want something small and know how to get it, or something big you can't get, you always think about what you want first. For example, if you want to eat something and there is something to eat in the kitchen, you just have to get up and grab it. You don't tell yourself how difficult or impossible it is, or how likely you are to fail in your self-feeding efforts.
If you want something that you don't know how to get easily, you don't want to focus on the fact that you don't have this thing and you don't know how to get it. Instead, think positively about the desired outcome and ask yourself what the answer might look like when it arrives.
