I started writing poetry when I was in junior high school. I started writing love poems for my girlfriend at the time, and looking back now, she didnt seem appreciative right away. Throughout high school we dated on and off, and she was the inspiration, the desperation, and the separation that gave my poetry emotion. In this book there are love poems for nameless femme fatale, dedication poems for the inspiring persons in my life, thought provoking tear-jerkers that can break a soul and deep wells of healing waters for those that need it most, accompanied with some miscellaneous poems that I wrote primarily because nobody thought I could write them. Youll notice I proved them wrong.

I was born and raised in a small town in a state with the population of a major city. I’ve been writing since before I could talk, according to my parents, and wrote a full-bodied story with a clear plot while I was merely a kindergartner. While other kids would put Barney or Sesame Street, I was popping in Hooked on Phonics and watched for hours. I wrote a spinoff of Snakes on a Plane when I was in fifth grade, and reading it now, all I can do is laugh at why a fifth-grader had seen that movie anyway. I’ve started several books and wrote a few personalized short stories, but while plotlines are intriguing, I do enjoy poetry greatly.
