Black Comedy Volume of The Complete Works of Shakespeare contains five works: The Merchant of Venice, As You Like It, Troilus And Cressida, All’s Well That Ends Well, Mesure For Measure. The merchant of Venice is an important early work of Shakespeare. It is a comedy with great satire. "All’s well that ends well" is Shakespeare’s second period work, tells the story of how Helena, a beautiful and talented heroine, goes to great trouble to win the love of Bertram, a rich, conceited and superficial man of noble birth, and finally gets what she wants. "As you ask for it" is about love and marriage, but it highlights folly and the dark side of society, so it not only echoes the tragedy of the same period, but also corresponds to the romantic mood of the play with comedy or biting satire.
